Why do people smile when no one's smiling?

This is the kind of life that requires the maximum amount of focus, determination, ambition, and maybe a little tunnel vision. This kind of life is the one that has haters on every side, always trying to bring you down -- no matter what you do, good or bad.

I'm not a fan of this kind of life, but I understand that it takes more to be successful these days. Yes, ambition can get you far...but how far? And how long will it last?

It's time to take initiative and do things because it's what you want or need to do to survive or succeed in a world that is constantly pulling you down.
Sometimes, people forget or lose sight of their original vision and why they are doing something. It doesn't matter what it is, but self-fulfillment is the ultimate goal.

I don't care how much you agree or disagree, but we work to be complete..even if it is in an ambiguous manner. Take helping other people by devoting to service..sure, people may be getting blessed by your gratitude, but ultimately, it makes you feel good so you continue to do service..yes, for yourself.

Humans are innately selfish. This is what I believe and it can be proven by multiple examples -- I'm sure even Mother Teresa enjoyed the spotlight more than intended. There are people who have fought selflessly, though, and I am in awe of them -- people like Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr.

I'm over this facade of pretending to like or be a part of something that is not real. In the end, you're there standing in the dark when everyone else is doing whatever they need to without hesitation.

Spare the feelings, heartbreak, and drama. This is real life and it's happening right NOW.

To one and all -- get over yourself and what you think is the right thing..who's to say what's wrong and right anyway? Who's to say that everything we believe in that the world has to offer or not is even accurate?

Fantasy may be what people want and reality is what they need, but you better know how to take it all in once you get there...or you're just going to feel hopeless -- with or without determination, success, or haters standing in your way.

Keep it real; to yourself..and the people around you will then be able to adapt and operate to your true self.

Forever Luxy,
Christine Victoria

The Dalai Lama also believes that people are innately selfish but that is also something we should accept because when we help others, we help ourselves and that's something people need to start realizing.

The ultimate act of selfishness is that of selflessness.
And that is the creed I live by. :)
